Tour Summary: (6 days 5 nights) Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park  

Itinerary

Day 1
At 2.00pm after a safari briefing you depart Arusha and drive to Manyara, a distance of 130 kms. Arrive the lodge in time for a swim in the sparkling pool on the edge of the rift valley.  Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.

Day 2
Spend the morning touring Lake Manyara National Park. Though this park is only 315 sq. kms in size, it offers a diverse variety of habitats and profuse bird life. It is especially known for its tree climbing lions, elephants, and hippos which can be seen at close proximity.

Around noon, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon drive to Ngorongoro a distance of 60 kms. You arrive in time to relax and appreciate the magnificent view before the sun sets. 

Dinner & overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge or Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

Day 3
This morning you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater – the world’s largest intact crater, in a 4 WHD vehicle. This natural amphitheater is home to a vast concentration of animals and is the best place to see the black rhino. Enjoy a full day of game viewing in the crater with a picnic lunch and in the early evening return to the lodge.

Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge or Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

Day 4 
After an early breakfast depart for Olduvai Gorge, the site where Mary Leaky discovered fossils of early man. You then drive to the Serengeti, a distance of 175 kms. The Serengeti is a stage for the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth, - the annual migration. A picnic lunch will be provided at a picturesque site. Tour the park en route to the lodge arriving for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 
Spend the morning and afternoon exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti observing animal & bird life in their natural habitat.  Lunch, dinner and overnight.

Day 6
After breakfast depart on your last game drive in the Serengeti en route to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Arusha.  After the 50 min flight you will be met on arrival in Arusha and taken for lunch where your tour ends.
