Three Days Gorilla Trek Bwindi
Brief introduction of Bwindi gorilla adventure in Uganda:
Bwindi is only park in the world famous for being the home of more than half of the World’s endangered gorillas. About 650 left in the whole world!
This lush mountainous park is located amidst magnificent forests in the extreme end of South west Uganda, across the steep escarpments of the western rift valley. It is amazing for you to come face to face with our distant cousins believed to be the origin of the modern man.
This is the hottest attraction in Uganda.
This forest is also home to over 90 species of mammals, other primates and 346 species of bird life of which 90% of Albertine rift endemic to East Africa.
There are evening performances around the Buhoma area. This is done by the locals. If you want to learn more about their way of life you may take a cultural tour in the village or better still marvel at the African jungle.
The visitors have a choice of accommodation to stay: Gorilla Forest Camp, Bwindi Resort and volcanoes (High end/luxurious accommodation), Buhoma Lodge, Engagi Lodge, Lake Kitandara Tents, Silverback Lodge (Medium class accommodation) and Buhoma community Bandas (Low budget/basic accommodation) offer travelers comfortable style of African accommodation.
Day One:
The tour starts and ends from either Entebbe or Kampala.
0730hrs pick up from you hotel commence drive to Mbarara (283km from Kampala ) via Masaka. Brief stopover at the Equator for photography and snacks.
Lunch enroute at Agip Motel Mbarara. After lunch, proceed drive to Bwindi. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. The afternoon is spent on a foot safari around the local communities living around the park.

Day Two: 0800hrs
Breakfast follwed by a short brief from your guides. Please remember your rian jacket it may just turn out to be your friend. Also carry drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc Commence trek as you follow the guide in search of the shy Primates.
Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but its well worth the effort.

Day Three:
Return to Kampala , then Entebbe , with lunch enroute and stop over at Equator Uganda before your evening departures home. End of services.
